Stone Pigman Walther Wittmann is Hiring an Accounts Payable Coordinator Near Orleans, LA

Stone Pigman Walther Wittmann L.L.C. is seeking an Accounts Payable Coordinator in the firm's New Orleans office. This individual will work in the Accounting Department handling and coordinating various responsibilities related to the accounts payable function.

Responsibilities:

Ÿ Reviews vendor invoices and audits expense reports for accuracy.Ÿ Issues checks to various vendors as well as reimbursements to employees for out-of-pocket expenses.Ÿ Reviews all payables for proper coding, documentation and approval.Ÿ Reconciles monthly credit card statements for firm-issued credit cards.Ÿ Assists with processing all partner ACH distributions.Ÿ Assists with year-end validation of 1099 forms.Ÿ Checks general ledger coding.Ÿ Manages the firm's calendaring and tickler system process.Ÿ Handles petty cash and receipts.Ÿ Assists the Chief Financial Officer with budgeting, expense reporting and analytics.Ÿ Assists with other accounting functions, including billing and accounts receivable.

Experience & Qualifications:

Ÿ Must possess a Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university. Accounting or Financial degree preferred. Preferable candidate would have prior accounts payable and law firm experience.Ÿ Coyote Analytics legal financial software experience is a plus.Ÿ Must have working knowledge of Excel and the ability to prepare ad hoc reports and requests as needed.Ÿ Strong commitment to customer service.Ÿ Must possess a strong attention to detail.Ÿ Ability to problem solve and use sound judgment and discretion in dealing with highly confidential information.Ÿ Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.Ÿ Ability to concentrate on tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.Ÿ Positive and professional demeanor.Ÿ Be willing to take on more responsibility when the opportunity arises.
